A CEO’s Perspective on Software Outsourcing
Customer Insignt In this post we are sharing perspective of one of our client on why and how much a technology partner is important for them. As a CEO of “Field Service & Job Management” Software company, I have been responsible for software development for years. It’s my job to explore new ideas and create the product out of it. And to decide what software development resources I needed in-house and what to outsource to our technology partner. We faced significant difficulties in handling in-house software development teams, specifically in finding and hiring talented people. Hiring internally is painful, time-consuming and too slow and requires significant investment. Building an in-house software development team has it’s advantages, but it also comes with great challenges – and the bigger ones for me were always cost, competition for talent pool with local companies, training time. Over time, software development team becomes the bottleneck for our company and our product suffered due to inability to move fast in development
